Weerasingha Arachchige krishantha Pushpakumara, well known as Raththaran ( In Sinhala means Gold) was born as the elder son of his family in 30th of march 1977. His father is Weerasingha Arachchige Karunadasa and mother is Siriwardana Dathunge Karunawathi. He has two younger brothers and a one sister.
He is a loving father of two daughters……. and his wife who helps a great deal in his work
He is a loved and respected social worker, a leader and a devotee to God. Leading his society and people to achieve their goals and helping the people in need. The enormous efforts he put to social work has earned him the nick name “Raththarana” which means Gold and he is a treasure to this society.
As a child he followed his primary education is Rathanajothi college of Batadoowa and completed secondary education in Kongala Central College.
 After completing his education this brave Sri Lankan joined the Air Force. He served his country in the battle field in North and East part of the country.
Now he is the chief Dewagathi (Priest) of Batadoowa Sri Vishnu Dewalya , a well reputed social worker and a leader in his home town, and the opposition leader of Akmeemana   Pradeshiya Saba .
