Raththaran is the Opposition leader of Akmeemana Pradeshiya saba. He sees politics as the way to widen his service to the society. He never thinks his designation is a thing to be proud of but he believes it has made him more humble. Now he has the opportunity to be the sound of normal people to the higher authorities. the trust and love normal people has placed upon him was clearly shown from his great victory in the Pradeshiya Saba Election.
